Make it Yourself!

Our First Friday in October proved to be one of our most interesting ones to date, we had some mixed reviews on what people thought and how they felt about the idea of making their own art work to hang on a gallery wall.  The idea behind this night was to invite the community at large to sit down and take a moment to create something themselves, to get into the head of an artist and understand that though not everyone is a talented artist we can all make something from scratch that means something to someone.  I myself have done so and actually sold an item I whipped up simply because the customer was a collector of the animal on the picture I made!
We had quite a few children dive in head first or I should say hands first and then a few adults who enjoyed the theme immensely.  We'll do this event again next year but as with all ideas it needs a bit of tweaking to firmly nail the landing.

I think this toddler had a bit of help from her family :).

These young twins both made people, you can't see it at first but once you look and see with your heart you can view their creative vision of people.
